Three components: gold or platinum by weight at the daily market rate, stones if you want them, and bench labor. That is the whole invoice at my workshop in the Jewelry Trade Center. When you see a plain 18k band priced like it contains a secret, you are looking at brand premium on a commodity. Bands take about two weeks, faster than full engagement rings since the design phase is simpler. My honest advice: order at least six weeks before the wedding so nothing is riding on a courier.
